Viva Las Vegas!

Published by Jack under Las Vegas, Nevada USA Edit This

If there ever was one place that you had to visit once before you die Las Vegas should be right up there at the top of your list.  Yes, Las Vegas is a gambling metropolis but there is so much more than just slot machines and roulette wheels.  Considering there is no clocks in the casinos or windows it is difficult to gauge the time or how long you are in a casino.  But what does it matter really? Las Vegas is filled with activities for all the senses and the nightlife is stuff men dream of.

Head to the New York, New York on the Las Vegas Strip off of Tropicana Avenue and visit Coyote Ugly.  Not only do you get to drink their famous drinks but also take in their famous women.  Their glistening smiles as they are friendly as their clothes and their dance moves can make a man…. Talking about moves head over to the Caesar’s Palace and grab a drink at the Shadow Lounge.  There they take the male’s imagination on a wild ride as women dance behind screens where only the shapely outline and curve of their bodies are silhouetted on a screen.

Want more of the bounty of what Sin City can offer?  Head over to the Palm’s Hotel and Casino and take a trip in the Playboy tower.  Now if that doesn’t get a man’s imagination flowing, I’m not sure what will other than actually heading to the top of the tower to the Playboy Club on the 52nd floor.I’m telling you, whether you are a gambler or not the city of sin is a place you do not want to miss.  Viva Las Vegas baby!

Come swim at Changi Airport Singapore

Published by Jack under Singapore Edit This

On a recent trip to Hong Kong, I ended up having a long layover in
Singapore.  It wasn’t a long enough layover to warrant an overnight stay in the beautiful city, but it wasn’t short either.  So now I’m stuck in an airport in a foreign country waiting for six hours for the next flight to take me to my final destination.  But when I stepped off the plane I was greeted by an airport unlike any other I have seen before.

Beautifully landscaped with a tropical oasis in the center of the airport, a large shopping mall for the shopper at heart and even a movie theater showcasing the latest movie, but what astounded me the most was the advertisements of taking a dip in their swimming pool.  After sitting for over fifteen hours on a plane from
Los Angeles the idea of stretching and lounging in a pool in a tropical climate seemed divine.

Something has to be said for this gem of an airport tucked away in
Southeast Asia.  The care they take for weary passengers like me is a welcome relief that it almost seems like I’m not in an airport at all waiting six hours for my next flight.  A swim in a cool pool is just what I needed before I headed on my way to my next destination.

Oh, Ohio. Why Would Anyone Vacation In Ohio? The Amusement Parks, that’s why!

Published by Jack under Ohio, United States Edit This

When you are thinking of a fun vacation, you probably don’t think about
Ohio.  In fact, some people upon the suggestion of a vacation in
Ohio will just say, “Oh, Ohio.” without much enthusiasm.  But if you really want to have the kind of heart pounding fun that you can only get from one of the tallest roller coasters in the world, Ohio is the only place to go!

Ohio has two of the greatest amusement parks in the world. Paramount’s King’s Island is located in southern Ohio and Cedar Point is in northern Ohio.  If you love roller coasters, there are none that compare to the coasters at King’s Island and Cedar Point.

King’s Island has The Beast, the world’s longest wooden roller coaster!  This coaster will whip you around at speeds you never thought you could go, through tunnels and trees.  You won’t quite know what to think of this coaster once you’ve ridden it, except that you must have more of The Beast!

Cedar Point has one of the tallest, fastest coasters in all the world!  This coaster is called the Millennium Force.  It takes you slowly up to the highest peak at 310 feet, so high that you can see Canada across Lake Erie, and then drops you almost straight down at 93 miles per hour.  But that’s nothing compared to the speed of Cedar Point’s Top Thrill Dragster!

Stay at the Paris Hilton

Published by Jack under Paris, France Edit This

“Maybe Paris has a way of making people forget.” says Lisa.  To which Jerry replies, “Paris? No. Not this city. It’s too real and too beautiful to ever let you forget anything.”  An American in Paris, the 1951 classic movie tells the story well.  A vacation in Paris is one that you will remember forever.

The most popular attraction in Paris is the Eiffel Tower.  Standing tall, the Eiffel Tower is a focal point of the beautiful city, but there is so much more to see and do in Paris.  Walk along the Champs-Elysees and watch the painters fill their canvases.  Visit The Louvre, the largest art museum in the world, for an up close view of Mona Lisa.  Dine at La Maison Blanche, the world famous roof-top restaurant overlooking the Sienne.  Take the Paris Bike About Tour and see how the Parisians really live.

But where will you stay during your Paris vacation?  There are so many choices, but a hotel with a great view of the Eiffel Tower would be an excellent one.  A glass of Bordeaux under the Tower lights late into the evening is the perfect end to a day in Paris.  And how much fun would it be to get home and say that you stayed at the Paris Hilton?
