Dinosaur Land in White Post Virginia

Published by Jack at 12:12 pm under Virgina, USA Edit This

There are few things in this world that actually make me feel nostalgic, but Dinosaur Land in White Post, Virginia is one of them. It opened 40 years ago, and as a kid, I remember being taken there by my parents and thinking it was the single coolest place in the world. After all, what little boy didn’t have little dinosaurs he used to try and destroy his sister’s Barbie’s?

Anyway, this little off the beaten track attraction known as Dinosaur Land is home to over forty years worth of big fiberglass dinosaurs, octopuses, and, the coolest one is the 20 foot King Kong that was built by the owner himself. Dinosaur Land is one of the best kids attractions in Virginia because it’s something universal.

C’mon. Who doesn’t want to see a bunch of dinosaurs at a place called Dinosaur Land where you can sit in King Kong’s hand and take a picture?!
